In a groundhog cage fight, my money’s on General Lee

Happy Groundhog Day!

What? It’s not happy for you? Could it be because of that portly prognosticator Punxutawney Phil, who SAW his shadow and predicted six more weeks of winter?

Well, it’s like he says:

So I guess you Yanks are just gonna have to grin and bear it. Enjoy your snow.

But Phil is not the only hog around. Here in Atlanta, we have General Beauregard Lee, who did NOT see his shadow this morning.

And for some reason, I’m more inclined to believe HIM:

Wendy, carry on girl. I totally understood you. Nick needs to spend more time on You Tube. Just sayin.

Here, the rodentia didn’t see it’s shadow because it’s been 97 straight weeks of no sun. I’m Vitamin D deficient and snippy as a result. If I don’t get some sunlight soon, I’m gonna start having to try tanning beds…or heated coffins, as I tend to think of them.

I like General Lee. No complicated orders for him. And just LOOK at Punxy Phil. I think he had a few too many cookies ‘n’ cream shakes this winter. He can have a (DIET) coke. Oh, yes, girl. That’s what I had said.
