Yes, eveeboddee! Eet’s true! We have a weener! (TWSS)

Thanks everyone for playing in the Phantastic Photo Giveaway.

(I should write ad copy, don’t you think? I’m rather exceedingly clever.)

My friend Daniel appreciated your visits so much that he updated his blog. Since his artistry extends into the written word, AND he posted new pics, I encourage you to check it out.

Without further ado, the winner of a beautiful Daniel Slocum photograph is…

Kim Ice!! (Kim, I emailed you for contact info! Reply and your pic will be in the mail ASAP!)

Right about here in my post about the winner, I’d LIKE TO show you a screen shot of the Random Integer Generator thingie from Random.org. If I could figure out how to include it. But since I can’t, you’ll just have to take my word for it:

It chose Comment #11.

The kids would’ve GLADLY picked a number for you, but I’d finally just gotten them into bed.

And in spite of blatant attempts by some commenters to influence them, I would’ve insisted on complete fairness.

(Things might be different if you’d tried to bribe ME. I suggest that you remember that for next time. I like dark chocolate.)

***

In other news, my illness just about killed me last night. Today I’m a tiny bit better. But the cough returned as soon as I exerted myself this morning (i.e. walked down the hall for a cup of coffee). Here’s hoping the new antibiotic does its work today.

(And for the record, my doctor’s office DID promise to call in a new prescription and yet DID NOT. BIG SURPRISE. I had to call and beg for it four times in 24 hours. I’d be a WHOLE DAY better today if they’d done it when they promised to. But I’m not bitter.)

Anyway, since kids are off for Fall Break until Tuesday, I shall spend the day in bed with them waiting on me.

(Don’t be too jealous. This will involve lots of whining and fighting and crying. And that’s just from ME.)

wouldn’t your opening TWSS really be a TWHS?

As for your illness, I’m glad u didn’t die. Then I wouldn’t be able to say “I told you so” about washing sinus ick into your lung via a drowning device.

Feeling you pain. If the doc gives you Augmenten, run and hide…it is about to kill me! LOL

I hope you feel better soon and next time I’ll send chocolates…I like winning things!

Well, I didn’t win…(sigh) but Daniel DID comment on my photo blog!

And the nerve of people (cough*cough* Katdish cough*cough) trying to sway the awarding of a prize. Shameless.

I wish I’d thought of bribery. I don’t know why my brain isn’t working lately. I’m not even sick.

Hope all that fun ends for you soon!

Not getting the idiot office staff to call in prescriptions for you? I find that showing up at the office and standing at the front desk coughing in the general direction of anyone who works there to be a helpful tool in getting what you need. It’s amazing how fast they jump into action! You should really try it sometime.
