Twitterpated

October 9th, 2009 · 9 Comments · Humor: You're laughing WITH me, right?, Twittliteracy

Today’s the Twitter Ho-down over at Fellowship of the Traveling Smartypants. I’ll play along in a minute, but first:

Yesterday I made up a new word. Neato, huh?

But I had no one to share it with.

You know why?

Because the Twitter was down! (The HORROR.)

For hours in the middle of the day, I could not share this amazing etymological creation with ANYONE other than REAL LIVE people.

So what did I do? Well, I didn’t tell anyone. It was too good to not save for the Internets. And since I couldn’t Tweet anything else, I actually read and commented on some blogs.

And finally answered the question:

What DID I do with my time before the Twitter?

In spite of outages and sickness, there WERE some fun conversations this week. But I lied. I’m not gonna play along and list my favorites.

You’re not the boss of me.

And I’m too tired to do all that cutting and pasting and yada yada…

Just go look at everybody else’s posts. I feature prominently in most of them.

Why yes, I AM that popular.

Before I go however, I WILL tell you my word definition. I’m hoping it’ll be in the Oxford Dictionary by Christmas.

Ready?

Twitterpated: Uncomfortable bloated feeling a Twitter Ho gets when unable to effectively Tweet. Cures: more fluids, less spam, and Twex-Lax.

I haven’t been listing my faves lately, either. Right now, I am having fun with playing Twik or Tweet, but am limiting it until the last Friday in October. Now one wants to Twik or Tweet after Halloween.

Helen, Unless they get to have more candy. I’m always sad to see the candy disappear.

You have been in the zone lately. There’s no denying it.

I’ve recently found Twitter. Sometimes, Tweeting is easy and then other times its like, “What the heck do I Tweet and why does ANYone care?” Yesterday, I actually Tweeted about the heater. I’m sitting there asking myself, “Who cares?”

*shrug* No one, apparently, but I guess I got to vent about the heater.

You, however, seem to have a much firmer hand on the whole Tweet thing. I didn’t even realize it was down. That’s how observant I am! Great post, BTW!

SM Blooding, I have one goal with the Twitter: Say the most mundane things in an absurd way. If I crack myself up, then it’s a WIN.

People in the real world just can’t appreciate a good made up word like we can, can they? So sad.

I’m just so mad that you lied. My image of you being perfect is shattered. My world doesn’t make sense anymore…

Can’t you just go with twiber and twegetables?
