I’m at the BlissDom Conference this weekend, in Nashville, Tennessee.
As I sit on my luxurious bed with its white comforter and 10,000 thread-count sheets, I’ll share with you some observations from the last 24 hours.
Driving through the mountains from Chattanooga to Nashville, the icicles on the rock walls alongside the freeway are gorgeous. Hard to focus on while dodging tractor trailers, but gorgeous.
Robin from Pensieve said she could make that drive with her eyes closed. Um, no. Not me.
Elevators should not have key card readers. I know they do it for security, so you can only operate the elevator if you have a room key. But after my experience last night, being held hostage by the elevator as it took me all the way to the top floor (my room was not on the top floor) and then back down to the lobby, I was not happy. Even if its walls were covered with furry red leopard print. Nobody told me you have to insert and then remove your key card.
Elevators should not need instructions.
Today we register and begin our first day of bliss. Although I already experienced a measure of bliss waking up in a bed all alone without a kid jumping on my chest. I could go home happy right now.
