The kids are glad we got a Wii.
Now when we make them run laps,

1. This was taken in December when all 3 were well.
2. The little buggers tested negative.
In case you’re keeping score, this means I wasted $50 & 2hrs for a headcold.
Ironic.

I”d be happy to waste only 2 hours. Our doctor is almost an hour away so we spend nearly 2 hours just getting there. It isn’t that there aren’t local Dr.s but none are accepting new patients from our insurance at the current time. Well not for our kids. My doctor is about 200 yards from where I’m sitting.
I have decided to start taking the kids to the ER for everything but their regular checkups. The cost is the same minus the trip. I figure that maybe the insurance will work with the local doctors if it costs them enough money.
Of course I’m living in a dream land because the truth is they will make the ER visit cost enough that it becomes worth the extra time unless it is a real emergency.
BTW wii’s are wicked fun but we haven’t been able to secure a wii fit. who did you kill for that?

The last time my oldest (age 7) had a sore throat, she made the comment that she wished she had strep. I, of course, asked her why!! She said, “That medicine (bubble gum flavored amoxicillin) was the best thing I ever had in my whole life!!” To which I just shuddered.
