Saturday Christmas Links
NORAD’s Santa Tracking
We get a kick out of this site. They track Santa on radar throughout the night on Christmas Eve. Between now and then, explore the Kids’ Countdown section, which is filled with games and activities.
Family Fun Magazine Online
I’ve been a subscriber to Family Fun for years now, and I love their site. For Christmas, you can click around to find crafts, recipes, easy homemade gifts, and decor ideas. Come back year-round for ideas for everything from birthday parties to bedroom organization.
Northpole.com
I discovered this one today, so I don’t know it too well. But it comes highly recommended. And I’ve seen tons of activities. Kids can write to Santa, play games, chat with an elf, and send e-cards to friends and family.
And speaking of e-cards,
Yes, we have drunk the Elf Yourself Kool-Aid.
Elf Yourself
This site is so much fun. (But it was slow for me Friday night. I’m obviously not the first to discover it. You can make up to five elves and choose from four different dances. Then you can share it via email or embedding on a website (like I did here). All of this for FREE. If you want to keep it for posterity, you pay only $4.99 to download.
You’ll understand why I paid to download ours.
It’s a work of art.

Enjoy the weekend!

Dude,
I NEVER tire of a good Elf Yourself video. I love Charlies’ expression. I wonder if you picked the “classical” dance if he would look less jolly and more maniacal. Love, love Family Fun magazine (but you probably already knew that), and we’re on the Norad thing every Christmas Eve.

Hey, you joined in the fun. See how turning yourself into a crazy little elf makes you feel all warm and fuzzy…

@Katdish, I did check out the classical dance. Besides Charlie looking maniacal, my son’s head was on an obviously female body. I’ve given him enough fodder for future therapy without doing THAT to him.
@Beth, you MUST do this. It’s way too fun.
@AnnieK, yes it did make me feel ALL warm and fuzzy. And discolicious.

VERY CUTE! I did that last year – but they only let you elf one person. This is much better.
Thanks for the Norad track link – I think I am going to show my kids. My son is 7 this year and he wants to believe so badly – but you can see his little mind thinking about it all.

Thanks so much for the links. I will see if I have any pictures of me with my eyes open for the elf collage…I doubt it.
