I thought that was something tweens’ HEADS do…

December 13th, 2008 · 5 Comments · Parenting, Roaming the blogosphere

“MOM! There’s a girl on the bus whose wrist can go around 360 degrees!!!!!!!”

LC was shouting as he climbed in the truck at the bus stop.

“It was so awesome! It could go WA, then WA, then WA, then WAHHHH!!”

[picture him rotating his arm enough to contort his whole body.]

Hannah: “It was my friend Peyton! She’s double-jointed!”

LC: “I SO wish my wrist could do that!”

Well.

I’m glad he has goals.

I’m over here today. Describing the amusement park I intend to open later in life.

What’s all that? Looks like some kind of weird subliminal messaging.

HA-larious post BTW. (Did I mention that I was easily distracted?)

And I am SO not looking forward to the tweenage years.

Hey, I’m deep into the teens. Tweens were a piece of cake. Wait until you get to the amusement part of teendom. I’ll help you write that one – I’ve got the blue prints in the vault.

Ha ha! I used to think it would be so cool to be double joined too. (I still do, actually, but I’ve realized is not a goal I can attain. Sad.)

Teens are still into this. At my daughter’s 18th party, a group sat around trying to push their thumbs down to touch their wrists. Apparently this is a big deal. Some could (gross) and some couldn’t. Teens are fascinating, especially in group situations.
