This afternoon I’m at Starbucks All By My Self.
Charlie sent me out to have a day “off” while he takes care of the kids.
(Thank you Jesus for giving me this husband!)
Of course, the fact that the Atlanta Falcons have a “bye” this week has — I’m sure — no bearing on his offer.
Anyway, I’m having a bit of bloggy block. No lack of interesting, funny, and serious material. It’s just that I can’t figure out what I should be writing.
But I want to post before my “two free hours” of Starbucks wireless access run out.
(By the way, Starbucks, I now Heart You even more. Now, if you’d just bring back Decaf Frapuccinos, our bond would be complete.)
Shalee at Shalee’s Diner tagged me for a meme last week, and I’ve been playing with it and waiting for just the Right Moment to spring it on you. On this sunny autumn afternoon, as I emerge from my most down week in the past five years (more on that later, I promise), and launch into the busiest week of every year (two kids’ birthdays next weekend), I now pronounce this the Right Moment.
Who doesn’t need a goofy post filled with obscure humor and alliteration on a Sunday afternoon? Don’t say I never write anything inspiring.
So here’s a glimpse inside my mind. As I answer a few questions, using only words that start with the same letter as my first name.
Of course, it would be wrong to complain about Shalee using up all the good “S” words. So I won’t.
Here are the rules:
* Use the 1st letter of your name to answer each of the following questions.
* They have to be real places, names, things. Nothing made up!
* You can’t use your name for the boy name or girl name question.
* Tag at least 5 people to play along
So I Present to You…

I ashamed to say that I don’t know what a snickelfifer is, but I’d like to know and I’d like to incorporate that word into my everyday vocabulary.
You tagged me? This is my second tag today! Wow! I’m on a roll! Scatterbrained Starbucks Scattergories? Well, that’s the best kind!
I’ll have to think about this for a few days.

Snickelfifer is truly a wonderful word. Multipurpose too. We use it all the time.
If no one guesses, I’ll reveal it in a couple days. Wouldn’t want anyone to miss out on that vocabulary resource.

I was born and raised in San Diego. I lived there til I was 18. Hubs has a job offer there right now, but we are not sure we can sell our house in Hawaii in order to buy in San Diego.

Scattergories is one of my very favoritest games to play ever!
I have been saving up a tag from someone else, so I might do a double whammy.
So… I googled snickelfifer and there were THREE search results. The first one was your blog (yes, not too helpful for my purposes). The second and third are on the same site titled: Stuff Christians Like. And they make a reference to A Christmas Story.
Ha! A funny funny show.

If only I knew what snicklefifer meant I’d use it all the time! Let’s see, it’s either a noun or an exclamation. Like, “Snicklefifer! I can’t stand that cockamamie snicklefifer!” How’d I do?

Oh. My. Head. Nothing good starts with “L.” OK, except for “Lord,” and “Love.” And “Laugh.”
This is hard. I’ll have to think of clever answers and stuff. Get back to ya…
