Are you awake? Watch this, and you will be.

Thank you to everyone who commented with birthday greetings. I promise I didn’t write yesterday’s post to fish for a “happy birthday” from every reader. But the ones I got were a nice side effect.

I had a very good birthday, which I will try to post about later. The highlight was a message on my answering machine, created by loved ones in England. It was so good, it made me squeal out loud.

Once I figure out how to a) record it off the answering machine with my voice recorder, and b) save it to my computer**, I’ll have to share it with y’all.

**Harder than it sounds, since I have to track down the voice recorder, the instruction manual for the voice recorder, and the wires for the connection. This could be a long day.

Meanwhile, here’s a short movie produced by Whitestone Motion Pictures, the production company that works with my church, 12Stone. They showed it in church last week, and I hope it’s inspiring to you like it was to me.

Here’s the description on Vimeo:

A Hero comes from the wilderness to cry out to the captives, pleading for them to awaken. This short film from Whitestone was in part inspired by “Plato’s Cave” and depicts the struggle of freeing the captives, whomever they may be. This film is set to the song by the same name originally written for this film by the talented Wright Brothers: Nicholas Kirk and Billy Wilkerson. Download the film and mp3 free at: whitestonemotionpictures.com

Enjoy.
