After a month and a half of regular blogging, I think it’s about time I made a proper blogroll.
Since I’m a new blogger – and a new blog reader – I can’t claim to have found every great blog out there. But with all the time I spend procrastinating surfing the internet, I’ve found some that I really enjoy reading. Oh, but I’m mostly a lurker on all these blogs. So don’t tell ‘em I sent you; they won’t have a clue who I am.
It didn’t take me long to find what I consider the mommyblog trifecta: Rocks in My Dryer, BooMama, and Big Mama. Shannon, Melanie and Sophie are my bloggy heroes. They write the way I sound in my own head.
Now if I could just get that voice out of my head and into my own blog…
Love Well: Love, love, love this blog name. Of course, she stole it from me.
Okay, not really. But this has been my motto for a few years now. I finally figured out that I can’t be a perfect mom, wife or friend. All I pray for now is that I’m able to love well. In my book, Kelly is successful at that. And she still has a nursing baby!
I don’t think I was sane enough to put on clothes when I had an eight-month-old, much less write entertaining and thought-provoking blog posts.
Queen B: Tag line: My Crown is Always Crooked. Now how can you not love someone like her? And she’s not just as frazzled as I am – she has a great writing style. You feel like you’re right there with her. Although with her recent adventures, you might not want to be.
Pensieve: Poetic, thoughtful, and funny. And her blog is named for something in my latest favorite book series! A home run.
Moms, Ministry and More: My international friend Heidi, who writes from a time zone thirteen hours ahead of mine. With my love for travel and the clash of cultures, I was naturally attracted to her blog. I stick around because she makes me think too. And it doesn’t hurt that she gave me an award.
We Are THAT Family: Oh, I am so a member of THAT family tree. Kristen not only accepts the craziness in her household; she finds the humor in it. She inspires me to be honest, even when I don’t want to admit that my hallway still bears crayon art by my youngest from three years ago. Yes. It does.
I propose that the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is not so magical after all.
Bring the Rain: I should warn you that one of these things is not like the others… Angie’s blog can be very funny, but humor is not the reason I read her. Start from the beginning (January 2008) to really understand. This blog about tragedy and how God can use it has made me cry with every post. Seriously. Every. Single. Post. Read with tissue handy. Angie’s honesty and the raw emotion she expresses capture my heart and inspire my faith.
I read other people too. These are just the few I want to highlight this time. Check out the blogroll to the right to see all the blogs that read every day.
Oh! And I hope you come back! They’re great and all, but you were my friend first. I get dibs, don’t I?

You are off to a good start! Keep up the blogging stamina. Lots of cool people out there just waiting to be found (that would not be me, of course. Definitely not cool – hehe) but you definitely have a great list of really COOL people. I’ll have to check them out.
Enjoy!
