A Heartbreaker

If you’ve ever listened to Christian contemporary music, you might have heard of Steven Curtis Chapman. This May his family was hit with unspeakable tragedy, and today I happened to catch the segment on Good Morning America with an interview with the family.

I don’t even know how to follow that. I can only hope God would give me the strength to handle something like what they experienced. I’m praying for them.

For more information or to pray or donate in memory of Maria, check out: www.stevencurtischapman.com

Being the surviving sibling of a sister lost way too early, I’m there with the other kids…tears in my eyes as I watched all of it…can’t imagine it as a parent, but knowing that the same faith SCC talks of is the same faith that sustained my parents thru the rough spot of losing a daughter. And the hope that I will see my sister Nicki again, and my grandfathers….is what makes me as a parent make sure my boys are gonna get to meet her too someday (they both will).
